Women Lead Counsel
In Intellectual Property Litigation & Appeals
Lead Counsel Summit
Working toward increasing the number of women lead counsel in private practice in the area of intellectual property litigation and appeals.
LCS seeks to accomplish this goal via an annual summit that provides training and support to women litigators who are on the cusp of serving as lead counsel, to help them master the courtroom, client, and team skills needed to succeed in that role.
“You’re the person where the buck stops. When the client picks up the phone because the worst has happened, you are the first person they’re going to call.”
– Daralyn Durie
Our Mission
Through training and promoting summit graduates, and through media and law firm outreach, LCS seeks to achieve its initial goal of having 25% of each graduating class serve in lead counsel roles in significant litigations or appeals within two years of graduation.
“We want to know the person who is in charge is ready.”
– Danielle Coleman
